This is my original Popover recipe. It doesn't have butter in the batter and only uses two eggs, as opposed to the recipe that came with my new pan.
1 cup of flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
Put popover pan in oven to preheat. 6 cup muffin tin can be used as well, but the popovers won't pop as much. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mix the dry ingredients, then the wet, and then add together and stir until just mixed.
Brush tins with melted butter (or spray with non-stick spray), and fill 1/2 full. Bake for 20 minutes at 450 degrees, and then reduce the oven temperature to 375 and back for an additional 15 minutes.
** Note: I made these tonight with two hefty shakes of Garlic Garlic from Tastefully Simple. My friend Terri sells it if you're looking for a dealer :) Anyway, they were so good! We made them instead of garlic toast and it was the perfect savory accompaniment to spaghetti :)
