Refrigerator Maraschino Cherry Cookies

I copied this recipe from my Grandma's collection. I haven't tried it yet, but it's one of those things I'm just glad I have because it makes me think of her.

1 ¼ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
4 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 chopped maraschino cherries

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, vanilla and baking soda. Beat again. Add flour and nuts and cherries. Mix well. Shape into 2 rolls (logs) and chill. Slice and bake at 350° for 10 – 12 minutes.

NOTE: Logs can be left in freezer and baked at any time.
