This is one of those things that just screams "SUMMER" for me! We mix and match the fruits with whatever is fresh and available, and have enjoyed MANY nights on the deck with friends, drinking this sublime wine.
1 Jug of Carlo Rossi Sangria wine (there is a smaller size and a bigger size – this recipe uses the smaller size, double the rest of the ingredients for the bigger size).
Sugar – 1 cup or more to desired sweetness
Fruit – any kind, nice and ripe. I’ve used citrus, melons, berry, peaches – it’s all good. The more you put in, the stronger the fruitiness. If you want to do citrus, put in one or two oranges, a lemon, maybe some tangerines, etc. Strawberries are good, as are raspberries, blueberries, watermelon, cantaloupe – really, anything you like.
One lime
Club soda – one liter
In a one gallon pitcher, pour in the wine and sugar and mix to dissolve sugar. Add fruit and kind of squish it up in the wine with your hand to “juice” the fruits.
Add the club soda and taste your sangria – if you want it sweeter, add more sugar.
Chill several hours or overnight. Strain out the spent fruit and enjoy!

I can't wait to try this. We're doing a taco bar for our son's rehearsal dinner, and I thought Sangria would be perfect. This came just in time.
