My mother-in-law makes this for every gathering and it is fantastic! It was handed down to her from her mom, so the measurements are a little... inprecise. :)
take 1 large can (48 oz?) crushed pineapple, two small cans (11 oz each) mandarine oranges and drain them.
In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of sour cream (light is OK, haven't tried it with fat free yet). "a handfull" of dried coconut and "a handfull" of mini marshmellows. So, I'm guessing about 1/2 cup each. Mix in drained fruit.
Combine, and "add more coconut and marshmellows until it looks about right" -- so if it looks too wet, add more coconut/marshmellows.
cover and refrigerate for at least an hour, or overnight. The coconut and marshmellows will soak up the extra juice and make a lovely hash.
